WTA exists to provide affordable, reliable, safe transportation for the residents of Wilkes County
Since 1991 we have provided multiple methods of transportation within Wilkes and to locations throughout North Carolina. All of our drivers are certified in first aid and defensive driving, are trained to current driving standards and are randomly drug tested. All of our vehicles are regularly maintained, and are handicap accessible to Americans with Disabilities Act standards. WTA is public transportation and is authorized to operate within the state of North Carolina under guidance from the Department of Transportation. WTA is a non profit organization dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation options to the general public and is not affiliated with any other government body or agency.
